4 oz ground extra lean round steak (I use bison)
4 Tbsp. chopped green onion
1 pkg tomato supplement (blended in the 6oz water before adding)
6 oz water
1 Tbsp chili powder
1/4 tsp. garlic powder
3/4 cup bean spouts, chopped
Brown meat in skillet sprayed with Pam. Add onions, tomato supplement and seasonings. Simmer 15 minutes. Add bean sprouts, and cook until tender. Serve with 2 slices melba toast.
I've made this one several times and just love it. Reminds me of chili with lots of crunched up crackers. I do add a little more seasonings - especially the chili powder - I like it flavorful!
Meal: Dinner
Replaces 4 oz protein, 4 oz cooked vegetables, 1 supplement.
