Laurel's Spiced Chai

2 - 3 inch sticks of cinnamon
1/2 tsp. ground ginger
1-1/2 tsp. ground nutmeg
1 tsp. whole cloves
1/2 tsp. ground cardamom
4 cups water
1/2 c. Splenda
16 decaf black tea bags

1. Create a spice bag by tying off cheesecloth or a coffee filter, with all spices in center.
2. Add spice bag to water. Bring water to rolling boil, add Splenda and tea bags. Let steep 5 minutes.

This creates the base Chai syrup, from which you can have all sorts of fun!

Dirty Chai
Add a splash (to taste) to decaf coffee for a spicy and warm afternoon treat

Frozen Chai
Mix 1 cup Chai mixture, 1 cup cold water and ice with a vanilla Meal Replacement Shake. Top with a sprinkle of cinnamon.

Hot Spiced Chai Latte
Heat up a vanilla Ready Made Drink or dissolve 1 vanilla pudding packet in 8 oz hot water. Add 1/2 cup Chai mixture (or to taste) for delicious and creamy traditional Hot Chai.
